J4IW goes for World Record to support Two-Spirit Manitoba !

J4IW supporters rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dusty – very dusty!

Families and friends of all ages created amazing chalk art to support Two-Spirit Manitoba.

The really fun part was that J4IW joined other community groups to beat the Guinness World Record for the largest display of chalk art in the world. We didn’t quite make it, but we put a huge dent into a LOT of chalk! This all happened at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa on a sunny, breezy day this June.

Check out the slide show for the fun-tastic drawings that appeared as the dust settled.

Two-Spirit Manitoba is a community-based organization that focuses on helping 2Spirit & Indigenous LGBTQQIA+ improve their circumstances. They do this by providing awareness workshops, advocating to prevent homo/trans phobia and other forms of discrimination, hosting community events, and collaborating and partnering with other organizations and initiatives.
