All funds raised by schools and community groups go directly to support justice for Indigenous women. This includes supporting organizations and agencies whose work has a direct impact on the lives Indigenous women and their families. In recognition that to promote justice for Indigenous women we must support children and families, J4IW is proud to support the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society (the Caring Society). From 2016-2018, J4IW will donate 100% of proceeds raised to the Caring Society to support their work for safety and well-being of First Nations children and their families living on reserves.

Using a reconciliation framework that addresses contemporary hardships for First Nations  families in ways that respect all Canadians, the award winning Caring Society undertakes research, education initiatives, and public policy campaigns that champion culturally-based equity for First Nations children.

The Caring Society has a superby set of actions called “Seven Free Ways to Make A Difference.” From Shannen’s Dream to Jordan’s Principle to the I am a Witness campaign, the Caring Society is at the forefront of the struggle for equality for Indigenous children in Canada.
